Office of the Registrar is considered to be the executive office of the university. Apart from the works relating to the administration as well as establishment, different works with respect to the admission of the students to the different courses and convening the meeting of the Syndicate and Academic Council of the University as per act were accomplished through different divisions as well as sections of this office. Information based brief description of the works which were accomplished through different divisions as well as sections of this office during academics year of 2003-2004 is given below.

# To administer & maintain discipline, training and welfare of the residents, medical officers, nursing stuffs & others.
# To support maintenance of required number of technical & non-technical manpower for administration of patient care & security.
# To maintain hospital stores medical, non-medical and others through the process of timely procurement, storage, distribution & disposal of unusable items.
# To help maintain a congenial atmosphere for treatment of patient & academic activities
# To process and administer the activities of honorary trainee doctors
# To assist preparations and distributions of hospital diet.

# Preparation of monthly salary of officer & Staff of BSMMU & Payment to officer & Staff.
# Payment of Utility Services & others bills.
# Deductions of VAT & Tax on respective bills and deposit to Bangladesh Bank through Treasury Chalan.
# Calculation of income tax, salary income and deposit to Bangladesh Bank through Treasure Chalan.
